Hydrogen-Driven Aerospace

Hydrogen propulsion and onboard energy systems for aerospace

BLOOH Solution advances sustainable aerospace technology using hydrogen as an aviation fuel and for onboard power. We engineer high-pressure gaseous and cryogenic liquid storage, fuel-cell power systems, modular fueling stations, and high-efficiency electrolyzers—targeting lower emissions, safer operation, and reduced reliance on kerosene.

Hydrogen Fuel Storage Systems

Gaseous Storage (up to 700 bar / 10,000 psi)

  • • Advanced CFRP/GFRP cylinders: high strength at low mass; tested for burst/impact.
  • • Integrated regulation: pressure regulator conditions H2 for the fuel-cell stack.
  • • Compact, lightweight installation to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.

Liquid Hydrogen Storage (−253 °C / −423 °F)

  • • Insulated aluminum/CFRP tanks minimize heat ingress and boil-off losses.
  • • Safety & monitoring: pressure-relief valves and level sensors.
  • • Vaporization via heat exchanger; conditioned H2 fed to the stack as required.
  • • Recirculation loop recovers unreacted hydrogen to lift overall efficiency.

Fuel Cell Power Systems

PEM Fuel Cells

  • • Fast-response electrochemical conversion of hydrogen to electricity; water as the only by-product.
  • • Proton-conducting polymer membrane with platinum catalyst enables high current densities.

Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC)

  • • High-temperature operation (≈600–1000 °C) with ceramic electrolyte and porous electrodes.
  • • Flexible fuels: hydrogen, methane, biogas, propane; no precious-metal anode required.
  • • Electrical efficiency up to ~60% with broad fuel compatibility.

Hydrogen Fueling Stations

  • Compression System: compressor, dryer, and buffer storage delivering up to 700 bar.
  • Dispenser: hose, nozzle, and safety interlocks (pressure/temperature sensors) for aircraft fueling.
  • Control System: software-supervised fueling with aircraft fuel-management integration.
  • Hydrogen Sensors: electrochemical and optical variants for accurate atmospheric H2 detection.

Electrolyzers

  • • High conversion efficiency (typically >70%) to reduce energy per kg H2.
  • • Scalable modules—from on-site to large-scale production.
  • • Durable, low-maintenance design for long service life.

BLOOH’s integrated hydrogen stack—storage, power, fueling, and generation—enables cleaner aerospace propulsion and dependable onboard energy across space and high-altitude platforms.
